The purpose of this course is to teach students to read, understand, and write scientific papers in English.

The purpose of this course is to teach students to read, understand, and write scientific papers in English.

Highlights:

1. This course is taught completely in English by a native-English speaker.

2. After 2 weeks of class, you should be able to read a scientific paper in English faster and more efficiently.

3. After 4 weeks of class, you should be able to paraphrase sentences in English. Paraphrasing is writing sentences in your own words.

4. The class includes instruction on how to give presentations or make videos to advertise your discoveries.

Instructor

Roberta Greenwood, Ph.D.

Roberta Greenwood completed her doctoral degree in Genetics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She did post-doctoral research in Immunology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Then in 2003 she came to China and began teaching for The College of Life Science of Shandong University.
